life's like a cranky woman, you'll never know what you're gonna get thrown at you!

went to work earlier today, left early..... came back around 11 to leave home at 12.30 to go to LCTT to fly off to phuket for a 3.20 flight.

got to LCCT, tried looking for a check in counter... couldn't find it... dangg... asked for assistance, n they told me the flight got postponed to 8.10pm.....

thats a whole 5 hours delay... or re-schedules in the words of air asia...

since i'm going there for a shoot and there's a dinner rehersal going on the same day around 8 or so, jen n i had to get there soon...

so the next thing i did, was to ask from air asia the options i had... and he said 'you either refund, or wait'......

called MAS, asked if they had tickets to phuket and they said yes and they said it's RM1450...
pretty goood... considering the tickets for air asia was 908 and MAS gets there on time.

so i booked it on the phone, and took a bus... a cheap shuttle to KLIA, and it only costed me RM1.50/person.

so took the bus to klia, about a 10minute journey, and went straight to the ticket counter. and guess what...???

sir, you ticket for 2 is RM 2900.... 1450/person... and i was like dangg....
quick call to air asia, ... tooo toooot... no one picked up or busy for like 20 minutes...
decided to go back to LCCT with the RM1.50 shuttle... to try to buy the ticket again since i've already cancalled it..

went to the customer service counter, tried my way to negotiate to 'un-cancel' the flight... he said NO... can't undo it...

so went to the sales counter.... waited for 20 mins... when it was about my turn, the computer failed.... ?????dang....

waited waited waited... a supervisor who looked like tony F, came to see how was eveyrthing going on at the counter ....... i manage to start a short talk with him... n explained my situation... and he said... 'let me see what i can do with it'..........

patiently waiting for the computer to restart i was simultaneously waiting for the tony F guy look alike to say ' it's alll good..'.....

wait wait wait... didn't happen... .untill maybe 15 mins later.... he came n said....' kau tim'!

so the next stupid thing i did was to pay 80 bucks to use the lounge in LCCT where i'm currently at atm....

total distance travelled from home, LCCT, KLIA and LCCT.... maybe 40km?
total displacement from LCCT to KLIA and LCCT ? 0

lessons to be learnt.....
1. confirm flights before leaving home.... esp Air Asia..
2. start short talking!... you'lll never know what you're gonna get....

off to phuket now!

accidents have no smell...

recently i had a car crash.. my first ever... i can't believe this is actually the first one that i've had considering how i drive....

on a serious note.... the crash was mainly due to human error... i have to say, i dont know what i was doing while i was driving... i think, I THINK i was thinking too much about some work related stufff...

but anyhow, i'd like to share with you guys on tips on what-to-do when u've experienced something like that.....

in my situation....
1. turn on the hazard lights...
2. park at the side of the road....
3. determine if the car is still driveable or not... how?? check for steam and funny sound.
4. call your insurance guy....
5. speak with the 'victim'..... and apologise and give options.
6. take some photos
7. options are..... to settle, no police report, you pay him/her the damage..... or if its a big case like mine.... report police... get a 300RM fine...
8. lastly... lastly... tell mom... coz it doesn't help if u have someone screaming on the other end of the tele and yelling at you....

in my case, i was driving approx. 50km/h... crashed into the lady in-front of me... who was pregnant, (maybe 10weeks or so)....

photos refer fb..

since my car my car is old (more than 5 yrs old), i think u might have to pay 35% of the repair cost...... just had a call from USJ car express that it cost 15k to repair with all new parts...
but if u r gonna repair it with old parts, no cost.....

geez... 15k?? my car is only 20+k right now...

the best that man can get.....really?

i've been playing and watching so much tennis these days it's not funny...

most recently, the season ending ATP masters cup in shanghai produced some outstanding tennis.... there were the usual suspects around, like roger and novak, the new dudes like gilles simon and tsongo... and also the last minute call ups like.... like the one time ex-lover of martina hingis, radek stepanek......

undoubtedly, the headlines that flooded the tennis scene was the anouncement of mr rafa's withdrawal from the masters cup... fatigues and injuries were the main cause of his absent...

one of the match that i manage to catch was the murray-federer match, which saw roger's quest for another season ending master cup end.........

3 setter, 4 hour game.... it was a really close one, ... after a long game, roger lost, 4th defeat in 6 games against murray....... temporary blip?? hiccup??...

i'm a roger fan that has to admit that he's definately losing his touch which saw him claims ridiculous amount of grand slams and titles .......

maybe it's the curse of the gilllete endorsement....

hendry... not really showing the catalonians why he was purchased with that price tag....

tiger .... he's still good... very good when he plays.... but he isn't right now with a knee injury

and roger??? lost his no.1 spot since 2002?? 2003??, unsuccessful in defending his wimbledon crown... and only a couple of titles this year...not really the roger that we have come to know.

maybe it's time to change to phillip shave.....

seconds before disaster.....

dont really know what happen with the photo arrangements but i'm sure u'll figure out which one came after which....
due to some technical issues, i had to push the CRV at that rev and also becoz i think honda said that i could get the max hp @ around that rpm,
so thats what i did......
n the next thing i know, the fan belt snapped........
so what happened after that was the the battery lights came out.. so the car battery was not charging, water pump exploded, and the power steeering hydraulics went to sleep,
so with all the GT i've been playing at home, it helped saved my life
parked at the side, felt like rubens barrichello and button for a few minutes with their unreliable honda..
made some calls, got a tow truck for free and fix it...
the lesson learnt?? dont buy hondas...
and also, speed doesn't kill, a sudden halt does... (top gear dude)....

the esso tanker thought i'd ran out of fuel and was kind enough to offer some produk bermutu...
and the first photo is just a stupid photo of what happens when the wifey is not around n i dont do the laundry enough, work shoes with sport socks.

we're GUNNER kill the devil..

with all the recent media attention focusing towards the US presidential election, it's easy to forget that Arsenal and Man united are playing this weekend.....

for a very very.... very long time, i feel that Arsenal is the clear underdog this time around....

i've watched many man u-arsenal epics, from the days where bergkamp playing along wrighty, and pallister was having so much trouble running becoz he was so fat ... to the more recent encounters like the henry-barthez goal, or giggs crazy run from 1/2 way line to score in extra time, or the battle of the pizza ... you name it and i've watched it...

without a doubt, tomorrow's encounter would definately be one of those times where man u starts as clear favourites... with C.ronaldo getting back to his form that saw him hit 42 goals last season and rooney scoring like 8 in his 10 last games and berbatov showing fergie that zola was NOT the best foreign player when he did that super turn that made the west ham defender look like a school boy..... you get the point, everyone is playing well... fit... no major injury concerns.....

arsenal on the other hand... hmmmphh... not good... 3 games without A win, major injury crisis with manu adebayor out, theo Walcott and gallas rated at 50-50 chance to start....... and almunia hopefully has overcome his cirit birit..

you wouldn't think that arsenal stand a chance rite, would you??

but having said all those nonesense stuff...., being the underdog, bla bla bla... u'd think that when the odds r against them... they might still have a chance.... a big MIGHT...... why??

analyse the games that they've lost... fulham, stoke and hull.... they didn't really wanna play football, did they?? as the famous words of mourinho....'they came with the bus, and parked it in front of the goal'..... (something like that).... man u will try to play football at the emirates....

how will this be good for the gunners? we all know about arsenal's counter attack, add that with the laziness of C.ronaldo tracking back to defend as well as the wing backs going up and not coming back to defend, it does provide more room for the gunners to play...

more room... more play....more creativity... more chances... more goals....

so whats gonna happen??? arsenal 4-1........ v.Persie, denilson, nasri, ferdinand og...... rooney..

(silvestre gave me a tip that its gonna be 4-1 or 4-0.. hope its not 2-2..)

Sarah's a PAIN in the bum..

just in: with the republicans conceding defeat after one of the longest and eventful presidential campaign, one must look and evaluate the defeat, find the scapegoat........
and the No.1 reason??

sarah palin... real pain in the bum... with recent statements like 'the palin-mccain campaign will bla bla bla'.... ??

also... what about her outfit controversy??

oh well... its a lost battle... its all done, finally... i guess the closest that John McCain will come to forming a cabinet is when he gets to IKEA...

i hope KL-DC relations will grow better...

turtlely new EGGxperience

had my first turtle egg when i was in kuantan the other day..... have to admit, its nice, but not that nice to justify the guilt i have later...
it's eaten raw, peel of the shell (its soft), n suck on it, just like a jelly in a cup, mango pudding from giant.
anyways, when the buying stops, the killing stops too...
DONT EAT the eggs, not that great of an eggxperience.

thats a good JOB

i work for a company that specialises in industrial coating equipment. what coating?? decorative coating (like residential housing project painting), protective coating (ship, steel structure, offshore rig coatings), automotive (car mfgs) furniture , as well as things like roof coating, floor and etc.

and if for whatever reason i can't continue with this current job, i'd probably look for something that i've wanted to do for a long time. so listed are the jobs that i'd probably take on..

realistically
1. ambulance driver
2. paint inspector (literally inspecting paints/coatings)
3. postman
4. traffic police
5. postman.
(most require fast driving)

unrealistic jobs to have
1. stand-up comedian
2. f-1 driver
3. f-1 safety car driver
4. f-1 test driver
(most also require fast driving)

work that i'll never/cant take on as a profession
1. photographer (full time)
2. wedding planner
3. lawyer
4. wedding related industry.
(not related to driving at all)

shut up, just shut up shut up...

have u ever been asked to shut up... then u shuted-uped and being told off for shutting upping?

well, shutting up was not really the thing that was asked of me, but recently something similar happened and i'm very frustrated right now.

so as part of my anger management program, i'm gonna go take it out on something.

anyone for go-kart?

face-off.....

hmmmmmmm....... remember the movie faceoff? i rate it as one of the best movies i've ever watched.. (dont watch a lot of movies).

picture attached literally shows teresa kok's photo was cut-off, torn out, rip-apart, taken down, demolished as u can see. (taken from the staronline)

i guess some people must still be really upset at her for her alleged comments regarding the 'azan' being air-ed to loud or at a level that was uncomfortable to the civilians...

anyways, this is how some 'people' choose to act when they have a disagreement, phrases like.... go back if u dont like it here.... you guys are just immigrants.... bla bla bla... no constructive arguements...

spanish matador in singapore

a fantastic drive by a fantastic driver, fernando alonso demonstrated that you don't need a maclaren engine or a ferrari engine to get win any F1 Gp. a win from 15th place start

i feel that EVERYONE found it very very interesting to have a night street race..., i feel we should have one our self....in the nasty malaysian streets..... where???

it starts from bukit jalil (kesas highway), then turn left to Kl-seremban highway (320-330km/j),
then enter the SMART TUNNEL, come out to bukit bintang, go straight towards p.ramlee, go towards KLCC, then turn right to tun razak, then enter the smart tunnel again.. n then enter kesas again... something like that... hope it doesnt rain, no one wants to be stuck in the tunnel.

very free....

i will be very free for the next 2 weeks... why?
last night, we sent ju han off to the airport to hop on a flight bound for birmingham via dubai.

and this morning, i had to go to KLIA again to send jen off to sydney... so what does this mean?

i will be very very free for the next couple of weeks.... i will be looking forward to meeting up with friends and just catch up with em. not that i dont during jen's around, but it get to go out and hang out without feeling too guilty about it all ....

so, what i might do in the next week or so is to have a sports day (part ii) at my place... mini paralympic, since we can't really perform like real sportsman/woman....

there's gonna be tennis, swimming, Wii tennis, and some driving as well... (jen got me a ps3)..
wine/beer testing...

so when u r free... give me a buzz... or i'll give u a buzz...

good luck ju han if u r reading this!

why it's better to leave the toilet seat up.......

occasionally, lemonades that come out may not
fall on the desired target ..... like how the US
has civilian casualties when they bomb Iraq,

if you are sick of the........

if you are sick of the hitz fm morning crew gotcha, sick of the fly fm's flirty at 10.30, sick of mix fm's mix'd-up 20, sick of panggilan hangit, sick of traxx fm's program, sick of era fm, sick of 988 wong kong chan nan, sick of whatever else u hear on malaysian radio, there is a couple of alternatives.....

1. 89.9 BFM...business fm is currently airing some test transmision with un-interupted music from the 80-late 90s, early 00's.... highly recommended....

2. gold fm(if u r around the johor bahru region)... same kinda music, 95.8 i think..

3. stick in a cd that u like.

enjoy the radio...

NUT a very good experience...

JOHOR BARU: The welder who was hospitalised after he used a nut to elongate his penis was finally put out of his misery when doctors removed the offending spare part.

It is learnt that staff from the Hospital Sultanah Aminah drained out some of the blood and cut away some skin on the upper layer of his organ to remove the nut.

Solid metal: A nut similar to the one that was removed from the welder’s penis.

The 20-something welder was trying to increase the length of his penis ahead of his engagement next week by weighing himself down with the nut when the nut got stuck following an erection.

expensive days

with a major fesival coming up in malaysia, many are feeling the heat to save up a bit more to accomadate for the expenditure for this festive period.

with the national's inflation rate reported to be around 7-8ish %, high food and petrol/diesel price, we willl be experiencing the most expensive 'festive days'

so having say all this, i just want to warn and let all you drivers out there in this certain country that you'll see more road-mafias on the road demanding for a certain old town kopitiam money.

beware, these are the days..

what hi-tech equipment you can't live without..

ola,

was just going thru some photos i took when i was in spain a couple of months ago, and found this photo, so i'd thought i'd make a short entry.

Technology has definately brought on so many, many advantages to so many different people in different places...... but i'm just curious, what are some of the things that we'd like to keep it 'traditional'??
me, personally, i think having a traditional cooking wok, in comparison with a microwave oven..
techy things that i can't like without,
1. tv, aircon, car, dvd, astro remote control...
btw, on another random topic, this saiful guy really likes to be sodomise huh??

don't drive...if u dont know how to...

KOTA TINGGI: A woman accidentally killed her husband when she ran over him in their driveway while trying to reverse her car.
The 49-year-old woman was about to reverse when she accidentally put the gear into drive mode and pressed the accelerator pedal. (The Star, 19th Aug 2008)

i dont know how to react to something like this. i wonder if its even possible..or she just hated him so much..??

have u lost the plot?

blogging about the single biggest sporting event in the world... the olympics...

8.8.08... the official opening of the olympic games which i seriously didn't really care much about..

reported to be the best, most expensive and most spectecular opening ever, the chinese govt have spend quite a lot on this opening event... not too sure how much, but i'm sure it's more than one millions dolllarrsssssss

dont get me wrong, not that they shouldn't make it big... but shouldn't events in the games inself more important than the opening itself??
i'm more of sport person than an opening ceremony person, so i'll be looking forward to the games... esp the ones which we could actually win some medals... BADMINTON!!
so guys... dont lose the plot in whatever you r doing... who of all people should know whats important and whats not!

how immature can you be??

ok, here's the deal... how immature do u think u are?? recently i've encountered some activities on the ELITE highway..

this uncle was driving a toyota camry... i'm sure u can roughly know how old this dude is right?? no one under the age of 30 would drive a camry... (sorry if u r driving one... and if u r not older than 30, time to change ),....

so anyway... i was driving my work diesel hilux car on the right lane and this camry just came and followed me at the back of my car... so.. being a driver who respects the road law, i moved to the side la... let him overtake...... ... but have u ever had this feeling where you just dont want to let someone pass??

so what i did was let him pass... shift the gear down... and ta-da... the hilux becomes a monster on the road... then overtook him la, and was in front of him... not satisfied with that... i cleaned my windscreen and got some water on his windscreen... he had to wipe his windscreen and guess what???

he overtook me .... did the same thing and i had to clean mine... quite immature right... he seriously look like he was in his late 40s or early 50s???

guess what i did??? after driving for a couple of minutes and making my way in front... i did the same thing back... shooting water again... n not just that... ever tried driving really close to the side of the road to 'kick' the sand up?? yup... that happened too..

so yeah.. thats what happened last week... i'm sure quite a lot of us are quite like that sometimes..

so the question is not are you immature or not, but how immature are you??

Tuesday, August 5, 2008

what to do after dinner?

have u ever thought of what to do after a dinner outing with a bunch of friends??
have the scenarios like.... lets vote, lets go yum cha again, play snooker, or watch movie..... happen to you all before??

well, the guys that i hang out with and myself always have this issue... we can't plan anything after dinnner... maybe becoz all of us are getting old too lazy to organise or just dont know what to do...

so recently i was doing some mini research on interesting places to hang out... idea is pretty simple,... to find a place that we can hang out, simple lounge music.......decent food, relatively good amount of crowd... and maybe some sorta live performance or something...

so did my research.. and ta-da... i found groove junction... ( go google it yourself)

what is it?? is a bar, that looks like a restaurant and feels like a pub...
what music??? you just have to go there man.. it's the sorta music that will just let u sit back n relax... literally.... jen n i got there around 8ish.. n didn't go back till 1am (saturday night fever).

particularly interesting this couple of months is that this lady called denise minifield or something like that is performing.. she's a african-american from the land of the GOVERNATOR.. i think u can sorta imagine what songs she sings... soulful, jazzy kinda music.. ..

so if u have a chance.. pop by n check it out.. they also have this killer drummer.. n his name is arthur kam... small kid with a HUGE amount of talent on drums. (he's on youtube as well)

hope to see u there!

how to cap off a crappy week...

what goes around comes around... what goes up, must come down.... (alicia keys, karma)...

not that i believe in any form of karmaism, but this week has been pretty much like that for me,

week started well with waking up to some really good songs from my alarm clock, slow pace at work, proper meals, outing, and also just managing to handle everything that happening around me pretty well...

unfortunately... this 2nd part of this week has just been a whole load of crap (seriously, u can canned this 2nd half of the week into a can and it will make good fertilizer).

domestic issues, work related stress, fong fei kei-d by clients at the very last minute and to top it all of... i have to go to penang... penang again...

for the past 6 mths since the start of this year, i've been travelling up n down penang quite often..... how often is often?? i can say maybe 15-18 trips to penang...
i use to be quite happy when i was younger to visit penang... i always associate penang=mini holiday... but not anymore.... (i also dont like going to klang, coz i also always associate klang and work together)
so what do i get up to in penang??? work.... u see the picture??? well... we actually sold a couple of machines thats being use to spray/coat the internal part of this pipe...
what sorta paint??? polyurethane...
what sorta paint thickness?? 1mm
how fast does the paint cure??? 40 seconds.... yes.. the paint does cure in 40 seconds and you'd be surprise to find out that the term 'watching paint dry' is not that long,
personally, i love watching them dry... in fact, my income co-relates with how well paints dry..
off to bed, (hope to have a good wake up song)

real ronaldinho please stand up.....

whilst walking along the street of la rambla in barthelona, jen n i stumbled upon someone quite famous.... little ronnie, or ronaldinho....

we saw him at the street, juggling a ball for 5-10 mins non stop... pretty good hey?

i wonder how much euro he earns a week?

how do u know when you'll have a good day ahead??

hey ya...days seem so much shorter and easier to get through when u have a good start to the day.....

so how do u know when u'll have a good day???

last thursday morning was one of the better mornings i had... u know how usually the alarm clock sounds so annoying in the morning?? how you need to press 'snoozeeeee' for like a couple of hundred times before you actually get out of bed?? last friday was different, i have one of those radio alarm clock things and the first song that pop-on the radio was 'i wanna dance with somebody'... by whitney....

instantly, my eyes just opened up wide.... wide wide open, no more yawnn yawnn... straight up and it feels gooooooood.... (you'll never always have good songs to wake up to).

how did the rest of the day go?? pretty well... traffic lights were 'mostly' green... work was good, and everything else was fine.... so thanks whitney for you morning call...

before i end, i wonder if you have any wake up songs that u'd like to wake up too???
i know mine's that.... and i feel sorry if you have to wake up to the jonas brothers.... testi-popping, kid-yelling, cranky, moaning 15 yr olds...

rise and shine!!!!

why males hate males....

i feel the sudden need to create this entry due to the over whelming respond i got from the why females hate females entry.... (i will try to not 'backspace' and let things come out yah)...

so here's the deal... why do guys hate other guys??? what makes us hate each other so much?? well... i'm sure we all the the usual suspects like... wow, he's got a good looking car, good looking gf/wife, or ... erm or ermm.. i dunnno, something is his possesion that more attractive, expensive then what you have... ... there are males out there who feel the need to feel 'jealous', threaten over these kinda situation which brings out the similarities between the root and nature of the hate between females... i totally agree on that,....

but personally, this is a personal opinion ok... you you feel like commmenting on it, please feel free yah....

personally, most males just bond with each other much much faster and easier... i'm using myself here as a case study here because, i feel that we,males get to know each other better and faster, although i have to stress that it's much more on a shallow level.... .. or do we??

i must admit, there are some people who get my my nerve occasional with remarks or actions. but should the respond to this be hate?? can't we just get into a 'ignore' mode, ?? yes we can...

and this is where the difference is... the reaction to one's negative perception on someone, if you are a guy would usually consist on the following....

1. go yum cha with friends and talk about 70% football, 10% what went on during the day.. n maybe 10% and the rest is just dll.....

2. go to a pub... ... drink some beer... get some anti despression liquid...

but if you are not a male..... then the respond to one's negative perception on someone WOULD normally be of complaining... and complaint... and more ... to your friend, husband, bf, mom dad... work mates... do u think so??? non males just like complaining and dwelling in stuff that isn't beneficial and probably make them hate much more... what do u think?? non males are just created to complaint.. and listen to complaints and encourage feedback to close the communication loop.... why do u think call centers have females answering calls??

this is again is a sexist entry, sorry if i've offended you... and do comment on it.... or reply it on your own blog like miss debido...

till then.. ....

y can u just agree??

i had a few conversation some people with some organisation/club/association that i'm involved with over the past week and i feel like people these days just say the dumbest things...

thing about it... have you ever met someone who just disagrees with anything that you say.... come on..... i'm sure you have.. maybe u r one of them....

cant people just agree statements, opinions that being thrown out into a discussion??

do u really need to impress the person next to you, your gf, wife, bf, husband, etc etc....

the need to rebuke, or to add on or to change ones opinion is so important that they'd say the stupidest things.... no names will be mentioned here, but....maybe if you feel... and i strongly say that if you feel like you are that, those person...... maybe you should think before you say .... dont just say things that will make yourself look stupid yah...

empty can make the most noise..... (thanks pn wang for this pointer, i'll never forget that).....

jimat dan senang kira..... the ultimate..

tonight was a fun night... we celebrated peter's, hong mun's, adrian lau, bruno and apek's birthday...
so the usual.. makan, old school chats which we bring up all the time, what uncle lau did in dubai (chicken rice), and this time, for the first time... the 'jimat dan senang kira' topic came up...
well, naturally we were making fun of how stupid it is.. that it doesn't really jimat, but more only for senang kira... but Mr BT ( not his real name) begs to differ...
well.... mr bt was talking about how he has made use of his jimat dan senang kira concept... it's very simple... not nonsense straight to the point way to save.... it applies esp if u r pumping petrol...
so here's the deal... you pump petrol for your car and make sure that the 'cents' amount ends with 1,2, 6 and 7.... so think about it... for example.. you pump rm 50.22... you are only paying rm50.20 if you pay by cash... (only if you pay by cash)...
so this about it... you'd probably save like rm1 for every 5o times u pump pretrol... probably 10ml of petrol...
think about it... try getting free petrol.... just pump 2 cent at every petrol station for a 100 times and you probably be petrol rich...
free petrol... goood...
by the way, mr BT, this is just a joke.. and dont take it too personal.. start a blog if u can .

why females hate females....

at the title suggest, this post will be focusing on why females hate females... ONLY read on if
1: you are not a feminist, because u will refute all i have to say...
2. open minded enough to take a joke.

alright... so why does gals hate their same species so much?? first impression really matters for gals, think about it, the impression that gals get on other gals that they hardly know, always, always if not most of the time, starts at a very low level... think about it, if you are a gal, reading this blog, (hi steph) and you meet some nice gal of your friend, you'd most probably have a thought like... geee... her legs are huge... or.... why is she speaking in some weird aussie slang... or her ears are too big...

gals just have this natural instinct (in my opinion) to think like that, maybe they feel like their are in some competition or maybe they just hate each other... i FEEL that they have to make their way up....

i once had a discussion with Mr Yeo about this issue...
here's scenario 1:
ms universe walks past 2 guys....... instantly, they'd be thinkin... wow, nice person.. nice look , bla bla bla...

scenario 2:
ms universe walks past 2 gals.... ai yah.. so fake, why does she have such long lashes... her something something is either too big or small...

do u agree??? well... i'd love to hear comments from you...

i was recently surfing the web on thesun.co.uk on the sports section... reading about the wimbledon... and how sharapova lost her 2nd round to an unknown.... guess what the 'unknown' said in her press conf after the match....

'Kudryavtseva said: “It’s very pleasant to beat Maria.
Why? Well I don’t like her outfit. That was one of my motivations.
“It’s a little too much of everything. I’m not very good in fashion.

can you feeel the hate tonight??? she hates her because she dress better than her... in a tennis match...

spread love... not hate...

needless to say, we need our knees...

wednesday... lunch time......

jk: oi... makan lunch...

pk: cannot la..... in hospital....

jk: why?

pk: i injured my knee when i was walking......

jk: blurred.... walking?

pk: bye...

ok, well.. the conversation didn't end like that, it was much more....much more information gathering process in the conversation, like naturally, if your close friend has to go to a hospital and not a clinic... you'd be concern rite??? rite close friends?

anyway... peter, one of the best ever right winger who has ever played the game... football/soccer, has injured his knee... the ACL ... anterior cruciate ligament...

many many many footballers have injured this part of their knees before... ronaldo... the real ronaldo... 2 or 3 times.... alan shearer..... alex del piero... robert pires... akmal rizal... samuel etoo..

alot ... even jonathan lee...
ligaments, unlike muscles will not 'grow' back when it's torn... its made up of fibres... strong ones that hold the knee together... so you have the anterior and the paella... sorrry ... patella cruciate..

both these ligaments hold the knees together..without them... you'd probably twist you knee everytime you run, sit.. walk... do stuff... standing up from the toilet after u do a poop...
so how do u fix it?? quite simple...

1. assuming your patella (by the way, the patellas the one you hit to get the knee jerk reaction)is 2 cm wide, you'll need to slice it... take like 1cm ... half of your patella out...

2. remove the torn ACL

3. screw the top and bottom of the PCL (new ACL)to your knee..

4. remove any excessive blood...

5. repair any torn meniscus.. the 'rawan' in malay... the white bits which some ppl like when u eat KFC ... which sounds like crookk crook crook crooooook when u bite it.

6. finitto..

its a keyhole surgery, so the knee doesn't have to be opened up.. no scares... and the screws which hold the new ligaments are ones which will desolve over a period of time... so it's just one time, no opening, keyhole, expensive surgery...
how much??...

1. Anaesthetic... approximately rm 5,000

2.. surgery itself... bout rm20,000

3. the satisfaction of being able to smile and do things in funny monkey positions, .... priceless..

no price can ever substitude that huh??

and yes... you do need to go to rehab..... no... no .... no... that cost a bomb too...

so yes.. enuff said... anyone who doesnt have his number and wants to say hello and get well to him... i'd happily pass u his number so u can personally call him up..

till then...

get well peter!!... i'm sure in 6 mths u'd be able to bend it like yourself in the photo.

apple I-willprotectyouifyoupaymeRM1299

heres the deal, jen n i went to this mac store yesterday to get the macbook pro labtop battery fix rite... cool.. we got the warranty replacement which will come in 2-3weeks.. thats fine...

then the guy told us... something like this....

guy:maybe you should consider getting the Apple care protection plan for you macbook... (he goes on explaning bla bla bla.. what it covers you.. why you should n everything...)

me: (naturally, i'd be thinkin of the cost rite), so i ask how much... ...

guy:rm 1299

me: (silent...........thinking inside.. r u crazy?? rm1299)...... cool thats ok ... )

why would someone pay 1299 for a protection plan?? think about it.. labtop rm 7+++... protection plan for extra 2 yrs... rm1299... close to 20% of the value of the computer...

like come on, aren't these product suppose to last for a duration longer than 3 yrs?

would you buy a merc and pay additional 80grand for an extended warranty for 2 extra yrs? ..

i have to say apple's marketing dept are really doing a good job in marketing their products.. iphone, itunes, ipod... but certainly i-wouldntpayrm1299forapplecare.....

hence... think about it the next time u buy an apple product...

who will benefit?

with the recent price hike of petrol prices... the malaysian govt has promised to improve and increase the public transportation facilities...

'one million to benefit' thats the promise by the govt published by one of the major newspaper in malaysia... would you agree with that? to what level would you agree?

personally, i feel that rather than benefiting a million, i feel that one would benefit millions... think about it, with new govt project, comes new govt tender... new govt tender comes new un-heard of company, and we all know where this is heading to...

i really dont know how this country is gonnna achieve it's 2020 target.. maybe they'll just push it to 3030 or something to give them all more time..

public transportation in france and spain was v.good.. jen n i couldn't speak much spanish nor french but getting around town was good.. easy.. and fast...

i sincerely hope i'll get public transportation around my area soon... not that i'll use it anyway.. hehehehehe

how to save petrol?

we all know that petrol price is sky rocketing upwards and it will keep going up for the next few years...

with petrol price at rm2.80, maybe we should find some ways to help reduce our petrol consumption.

forget about converting to a LNG powered car, coz u cant find and when u r outside kl, and when u can find one.. then the que is always 1km long....

forget about buying a hybrid car... coz it cost a bomb to buy it probably due to the tax on it to protect the local car company....

and also forget about pumping petrol the way u r told to by the forwarded emails.... ie... pumping in the morning, pump slower and pumping when there is a petrol tanker re-fuellling the big tanks underground...

why the forwarded stuff dont make sense? well.. its not like they dont buy it make 'INSIGNIFICANT' difference.... think about it, how much vapour can evaporate when u r pumping?? like .001 litres?? or how much hotter do u think the ground can be in comparison to the night, which will make the petrol evaporate faster during the days????

ok ... enuff about it... so whats the best way to reduce petrol consumption??
1. tailgate...slipstream....
how it works? if u get closer to the car in front of u, then u will reduce the wind drag, thus, u will be driving much faster at a lower rpm.... :) good huh? so... start doing it... it will work much better at higher speed... like 80km/h and above..

2. dont eat when driving...
you know when u eat n drive, your concentration is goes away.. rather than thinking on driving, your mind just goes blank and goes into 'enjoying-food mode'... hence, you will be making more un-needed accelerations and braking, which ultimately waste petrol.... so dont eat...

these are just 2 ways i can think of... if u do have any methods thats proven to be good... i'd like to know more about it..!......

up and down

last week was a pretty challenging week for me personally... sometimes things can get out of hand pretty easily if you dont manage things properly... arguements would follow and the process of making-up or reconciliation begin.... well all good things come to an end and all bad things i guess also comes to a close..

the week ended up pretty good... i had the opportunity to take some photos of my cuz getting married... beh and olivia! congrats yah...

anyways.. i'm sure u can tell who the bride, groom and the chee muis are...

i'm off to spain for now...

are you a photographer??

i'm sure if u are reading this then you know who i am and also who i'm married to...

well.. my wife is a photographer a full time professional one. occasionally, i help her shoot at some weddings or other assignments which require a 2nd photographer.

i have to admit that taking photos, good photos, can actually be very interesting. it is very rewarding and encouraging to hear that people actually pay for your services to help them capture their happiest day of their life.. the wedding...

on top of what you get from all that, you also look cool carrying gears around your workspace.
i do have to admit that i'm more of the person who is interested in the gear than rather the shooting. dont get me wrong, i like helping my wife take photos, but collecting equipments and also using them is just cool too... really cool...

so it goes back to the point, do u really need cool equipments to take cool photos??? its really depends on what you have actually, if you have a low end camera, then i suppose you'll argue that skill is much more important than the gear....

but if u have the best lenses... gears and everything... then taking photos are really really easy..
i remember holding my wife's camera with a few really cool lenses and i was really amazed that hey..... decent average skill + high end gears = cool photos......

but hey... dont be discouraged if u dont own a 40 d or a 5d or a d3, keep taking good photos and spend more time on PhotoShop or something.. it really does make a cool difference.

anyways, got to go for now.... remember.... i'm a strong believer that if u want to take good photos... than get good gears.....

just like how manchester united can win big cups with big players... arsenal with young players will find it hard to win stuff!...

hurry up n launch the new 5d II or 7d... or whatever it is...

timing is everything.....

i'm sitting here at my customers place and i have been waitin here for the past hour, waiting...

why should people do that?? come on.. is it really that hard to come on time?? whats the point in having appointments then?

i feel a lot of us have issues with timing..i've been living with my family and wife for quite a long while and i feel that SOMETIMES... they just dont value timing at all....

'i'll be there in 5 minutes'.... 'coming'.... the list goes on and on...

does it make you feel superior is you arrive at an appointment 'fashionable' late?? honestly... i feel its crap if you think like that and would really encourage you to be on time.. !

espanol here i come...

listed below is the map of spain... and so how am i involved with spain? well... i will be travellling to spain in 2 weeks time for 2 weeks... WOO HOO!
can't wait to go to a different country all together to have a look at how different spain can be compared to malaysia..!

anyways... need suggestions for spain ground arrrangements... i've been told that barcelona is quite goood.... any where else??

presents!

may is really not a good month for the wallet... 3 big events in one single month...
firstly... ju han's birthday.... on the 5th of may... what i got him?? 80gbs of ipod classic!

next....there is wife's birthday... on the 10th of may... since this is the first birthday as my wife... i'm assuming that there's 'different' expectations here... what do u think???

i think if i can generalise.... and thats a big IF here alright... couples usually....(again a big usually) would give each other presents like teddy bears... perfumes... rings or jewellery .... but i FEEL that as a couple get older together.. they can sometimes move towards presents that both can equally make use of.... especially if you r living in the same place together (like me n my wife)

so that makes the choice of presents for her bornday much easier right?? yes... listed are some of the items that surprisingly both of us has itention of having...

1. iMAC.
2. new 5d canon camera when it comes out..or 6d or 7d....
3. new car....( not on her list)
4. hi-fi set (not on her list also)

so those r just a few items thats on my wishlist... ANYWAYS... back to jen's b/d present ....

any suggestions if you r reading this blog???

ok ... once i'm done with that.. then i've got to figure out a present for my mom... it's mommy's day soon here in malaysia and i really like to get mom a nice present. mom really has been helping me out a lot during the wedding and also during moving in to our new place so i really feel that i want to get her something...

again.. any suggestion? ... i'll value any constructive feedback on this issue. !
